Lyons, New York – This evening, at the nominating meeting of the Wayne County Republican Committee, Congressman John Katko (NY-24) was unanimously endorsed in his campaign for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Tonight, the Wayne County Republican Committee was proud to once again endorse our Congressman, John Katko, in his re-election bid,” said Wayne County Republican Chairman Bob Oaks. “Congressman Katko has always looked out for Wayne County’s best interest on a federal level, and has developed a strong legislative record on the issues that matter most to our community.  We appreciate his efforts to keep our country safe, combat the heroin and synthetic drug epidemic, and fight for local farmers and manufacturers, as well as our vast veterans community.  We look forward to re-electing Congressman Katko this November.”

“I am continually grateful for the support and encouragement of Chairman Oaks and the Wayne County Committee,” said Congressman John Katko. “I’m proud to advocate for Wayne County’s interests in Washington and have consistently stood up for our region’s farmers and growers, been a vocal opponent in the fight against Plan 2014, and worked to strengthen our local economy.  I will continue to stand up for all of Wayne County in Washington.”

Congressman John Katko was first elected in November 2014 to represent 24th Congressional District of New York, which includes Onondaga, Cayuga, and Wayne Counties and the western portion of Oswego County.
